I keep getting hacked, what should I do? I bought a server, set the permissions to root using `sudo -s`, but the same person still hacked me

Hi, admin, the monitor appears offline, I think I need to turn it on, and i got hacked while the monitor was on like this; it didn't give any warning or anything, I guess it's not working.
