Jeff Sokol Mentioning His OCD in Interview with Detective Kelly
In the full interview with Detective Kelly, Jeff Sokol mentions how he has OCD and has been to conferences about it. He seems to use it as an excuse or to at least explain why he's there.
Personally, I have been diagnosed with OCD myself. It is a debilitating condition that causes intrusive thoughts, ruminations, and compulsions. It makes you question every thought you have and believe and worry about things that logically make no sense. To put it simply, it's exhausting and miserable and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy.
That being said, it has never caused me to behave the way he or any other predator ever has. It really bothered me when he mentioned his OCD as that is absolutely no excuse to do what any predator was trying to do. It is disingenuous to people who actually suffer with OCD every day and do their best to manage it.
