
Blinkit Refund Scams to be Aware - Dark Practices of Dark stores
In the recent times, I noticed the refunds are not provided as per the claims or assurances of support team. They claim to initiate a refund but it is never done. The money never gets deposited in our account. I observed this and they could blame the bank and ask us to check with banks for delays, so I started opting for Wallet refunds (instant) but that is where I could catch them and expose here.
Dark Practices #1: Most of these stores have below standard operating procedures and they have many damaged, rotten or expired items. They have absolutely no sense on cold storage supply chain that items need to be maintained in specified temperature ranges. They have no backup power, thawing & refreezing (prohibited), sometimes contamination etc. cause items to go bad. When we raise the complaint and ask for replacement, they offer a refund instead well aware the item is not available or could not be fulfilled.
#Refund Scam: I had 2 such instances in this month and requested for instant Blinkit money wallet refund. They claimed to have initiated but said it will take more than a week to reflect in Blinkit's own wallet.
The refund amounts are INR177 and INR49 which totals to INR226 but even after 20 days, there is no refund on the Blinkit Money Wallet.
Whenever I try to place a new order, I check if refund is there to use but it's not available.
Dark Practices #2: Once a concern has been raised for an order and refund initiated, another concern cannot be raised for same order. After 24 hours, there is no way we can contact support regarding missing refund. There is only a chatbot that keeps going back to same menu options and will never allow to connect to backend human support to escalate on missing refund.
