Hey all, I’m the director of The Selling Stage, a feature documentary about Lufisto currently in post-production.

We just launched the official poster for the film, along with the website and first teaser footage.

The film is less about the highlight reel of her career and more about everything around it: the wear on the body, the economics of staying in the fight and what’s left when the crowd goes home.

Ultimately, the film is asking whether the story of bootstrapping and chasing your dreams through pure hard work is as scripted as what happens in a wrestling ring
