Derealization

For a long time, I experienced derealization in a very intense way. It felt like I was watching my life through a screen, or like the world around me wasn't entirely real, almost as if I were in a dream. Everything felt distant, detached, and strange.

It was a really heavy and confusing thing to go through. But thankfully, that's in the past for me now.

I'm curious—what did derealization feel like for you when you went through it? And what actually helped you ground yourself and get back to reality?

Have you ever wondered...

Nowadays, we consume more information in a single day than our grandparents did in an entire month.

We listen to podcasts while walking. We watch television while eating. We scroll through social media for hours on end.

No wonder so many people feel mentally exhausted today.

Perhaps true rest isn't on the couch with a phone. Perhaps it's less noise, fresh air, and peace.

We are always rushing somewhere. Waiting for something. Overthinking.

We have forgotten what it's like to do nothing for a moment.

Stop for a moment. Be here and now. Because this is all we have.

Do you feel like victims of this fast-paced rhythm, and how do you deal with information overload in your daily lives?
