I have an extended family member who I'd like to pay to decorate our house. Nothing difficult, just repainting just rooms, some panelling etc.

It's not his main job and I know he and his family would appreciate the income as we would appreciate him doing the work. He's a bit uncomfortable stating a price which is pretty tricky as i have no idea what a sensible day rate would be and looking for help.

What would a typical professional painter charge for a day's work in the Cardiff area... we'll be supplying all materials so it's just for labour.
