I naturally have fairly hard water with my most recent test being a GH of 12 and a KH of 11 with a stable pH of 8.2 (ik all these are on the high end of shrimp keeping). I am currently trying to cycle a tank for shrimp but i would like to keep my hardness where its at. Ive been looking into purchasing and topping off my water with RO water to prevent making my water harder with tap but im also concerned about my plants dying due to lack of minerals from the RO water. I was wondering if anyone has any tips or other recommendations on how i should go about this problem. Thanks :)
