Vents question
Having a roof replaced on Monday, roofer asked how I’d like vents placed. He says I’ll need 8 in total. Do I have to have cans on front of house? Front is the 42.4 measurement. We’re putting a long intake vent on back since there’s no soffit venting like in front of house. No other hip and ridge houses in our neighborhood have cans on front of house, but the roofer is recommending it. Am I wrong for thinking it isn’t necessary? Do I just let him put some cans on front? He says the top ridge is too small for ridge vent. I want the roof to be efficient and passive ventilation is the goal. We live in SE Michigan if that matters Will I even care how it looks in a month?
Appreciate any info. Thank you!
