Got my 2nd paying customer after 2 months. Keep going or shut it down?

Got my 2nd paying customer after 2 months. Keep going or shut it down?

I launched my SaaS about two months ago.

So far I’ve done basically zero marketing, but I’ve gotten around 120 users and 2 paying customers. The subscription is $10/month, so my current MRR is $20/month. All of the traffic/users came organically from Google search.

My costs are around $20/month, so right now the app is basically breaking even.

The issue is that I don’t really have much time to actively market it. When I started building it, the goal was to create something that could become a small passive income stream, but now I’m wondering if this product just isn’t it.

Part of me thinks 2 paying customers with no marketing is a good sign and I should keep it alive. Another part of me thinks I should shut it down and move on to a better idea.

What would you do in this situation? Keep it running and see what happens, or shut it down and focus on something else?

2 months after launching my SaaS: 775 users, 100% organic, and low 3-figure MRR

I launched my SaaS 2 months ago.

It took me about a month to build the first version, and since I’m honestly not great at marketing and had no budget for ads, I decided to go all in on SEO from day one.

The main thing that worked for me was building free tools around the same problem my SaaS solves.

So instead of only having the main product pages, I added 10 simple free tools directly on the site, with URLs like:

mysaas. com/tool-1
mysaas. com/tool-2
mysaas. com/tool-3

Each tool targets a small search intent related to the product. Nothing crazy, just useful little tools people might search for before they are ready to pay for the full product.

The second thing that helped was translating the site into multiple languages.

I translated all the main pages and tools into 10 languages, including French, Spanish, Arabic, and a few others. Some of the non-English pages started ranking faster than I expected, probably because the competition is lower in those markets.

Results so far:

775 users
100% organic traffic
low 3-figure MRR
no paid ads
mostly running on autopilot now

Obviously this is not life-changing money yet, but it feels like a solid start, especially because I’m not spending anything on acquisition.

The main lesson for me: if you’re bad at marketing or don’t have money for ads, don’t just build the SaaS and wait. Build small free tools around it. They can act like SEO landing pages, bring in the right people, and slowly compound over time.
