Anybody uses TV as their monitors?

I've been seeing a lot of setups lately where people are using TVs as their main monitors, and I'm thinking about making the switch. Since I spend most of my time watching sports and gaming, having that extra screen real estate sounds amazing.

However, I'm not sure if it's actually practical for daily use or if I'll run into issues with pixel density or input lag. Do you guys recommend this setup?

I'm currently looking at these three models since they fit my budget and size requirements:

  • Hisense U6 Pro
  • Samsung QN70H
  • TCL QM64L

Any thoughts on which one would work best as a desktop monitor?
