Address bar picture in picture/PiP indicator issue

I've been having the following issue for a while now. This is specifically happening on Youtube.

Whenever I hover over a video and a preview starts, the PiP icon on the address bar will activate, that's normal. However, once I move my mouse away from the thumbnail and the preview stops the icon will remain there and clicking it will open up the PiP window with the video on the last frame of the review before stopping it, despite the review no longer playing. Clicking on any video after that will open it up, but no PiP indicator will be visible in the address bar (unless opened in a new TAB, instead of on the same one). The shortcut, or the option from the right click menu will still open up the PiP window and play the video in it, as well as the PiP button on the video itself if the option to see it is enabled, despite the indicator in the address bar missing.

This behavior is so far only on the Youtube page, Odysee, a similar website functions normally where the indicator is active only while a preview is IN progress and then it disappears once the preview stops. Opening any video there properly displays the PiP indicator in the address bar.

I've so far attempted to: Clear the browser cache, start in safe mode, disable all extensions, start in a new and clean test profile. The issue has persisted every time.

It seems as if Firefox considers the preview to still be running, even after removing the mouse from the thumbnail and after this opening a video 'closes' the first but doesn't activate the PiP icon to show up in the address bar.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue? Has perhaps found a way to resolve it? Or might have an idea what could be causing it?
