How many dry creeks did it take before you went back to carrying the extra liter?
I've done maybe six trips and I've carried 3 liters every time without thinking about it much. I'm looking at a route in early October where the map shows creeks every four or five miles, and the trip reports all say you can get by with a single half liter bottle and just filter as you go. I know a dot on a map isn't a promise and late season is exactly when those things go dry, so I'm not planning to trust it blindly, I just don't know where the line is.
How many dry sources did it take before you went back to carrying the extra weight?
