Need help choosing new IEM after losing my KZ EDX Pro

Used KZ EDX Pro before and honestly liked it for the price, but I lost/broke it recently. Now looking for a proper upgrade around ₹1500-1800.

Current options I’m considering:

Fiio JD1

KZ Castor

GK Kunten

ND Planet

Will use with:

Samsung S21 FE

Audiocular D07 CX31993 DAC

What I want:

Better detail/separation than EDX Pro

Wider soundstage/imaging

Cleaner vocals

Punchy bass but not muddy

Comfortable for long listening

Music taste:

Hip-hop

Rock

EDM

Anime/movie OSTs

Mixed genres overall

For people who’ve tried these, which one would you recommend as the best upgrade from EDX Pro?

Also open to other suggestions around this budget.

Built a desktop wallpaper generator that visualizes your life progress and goals — need honest feedback

Hey guys ,

Built this project recently:

https://preview.redd.it/9q55fyu2h51h1.png?width=1920&format=png&auto=webp&s=a9d8ac9b87baced0ff3b65b793216a5817551f5a

Life Calendar
GitHub: Life Calendar GitHub Repo

It generates a desktop wallpaper that visualizes:

  • life progress in weeks
  • yearly progress
  • goal/milestone tracking
  • automatically updating wallpapers

Main focus was making it:

  • crash resilient
  • scheduler safe
  • clean uninstall
  • lightweight enough to run in background

Tech stack:

  • Python
  • Tkinter/custom UI
  • wallpaper automation
  • scheduling/background processes

I’m trying to make it feel like an actual polished desktop utility instead of just another college project.

Would like honest feedback on:

  • Does this feel useful or gimmicky?
  • What features would make this genuinely valuable?
  • What looks amateurish currently?
  • Would recruiters/devs find this interesting technically?

Don’t sugarcoat.

Final-year CSE student graduating in a few months, aiming for Python backend roles.

I’ve been looking into programs like ST School’s 99-day Python Full Stack + AI course (FastAPI, Docker, AWS, system design, etc.) that claim to make you job-ready with placement support.

I’m skeptical about the “job-ready in 3 months” part.

For those who have actually taken similar courses:

- Is that timeline realistic for backend roles?

- Did the curriculum and projects actually help you crack interviews?

- What does “placement support” really mean in practice — real interview calls or just resume guidance?

Also, if you chose self-learning instead:

- What stack/projects helped you get your first backend role?

Trying to decide whether spending 30–40k on this makes sense or if I should go all-in on self-study.

Looking for honest experiences — especially from people who’ve gone through this recently.
