Help me understand this issue? Sports streaming sites
Had something really weird start yesterday, curious if anyone can help me figure out what's going on.
I use Firefox with ublock origin to stream from laptop to my TV. This set up has been great for using one of the suggested sports streaming sites in the wiki (sportsurge, streamd, etc). I have been doing this for a couple of years.
Starting yesterday, my internet cuts out while I'm streaming sports on these sites. Whether ethernet or wifi, it drops completely after 1-5 minutes, and nothing will get it working again until a restart. The behaviour is repeatable and happens every time, whether in private tabs or not. I tried a fresh Firefox install to no avail. Also cleared hidden app files in C:/ProgramFiles and user appdata.
The weird thing is, I can stream youtube for hours without interruption. Just, sports streaming for some reason.. also, my router is fine when it cuts out on the laptop, as my phone and other PC can connect just fine. Just the laptop, I cant get back online until I reboot.
Can anyone help me figure out what the issue might be? Firefox recently did a major update with built in VPN (which i am not using) but i wonder if the update did something?
Funny enough if I use brave browser, it works fine and my internet doesnt cut out. So it seems Firefox is the culprit but, what's actually going on, anyone know?
