Hello! Planning on slowly transitioning to major hikes and I’m currently starting to procure the necessary equipment for multi-day hikes. My budget is on backpack right now. Any thoughts on altitude gear? May nakagamit na ba sa inyo? TIA!

Hello! I would just like to share my experience with my adidas Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX hiking shoes. I hiked the famous “playground of the gods”, Mt. Pulag Protected Landscape (MPPL) last April. I have only been using my tribu sandals for all the hikes I took and it was the best! I even used it for my first ever major hike and she delivered!

Now, I specifically bought the adidas Terrex Skychaser GORE-TEX hiking shoes for MPPL due to its unpredictable weather. I ascended the mountain while raining with confidence and unbothered with the puddles since I’m wearing a supposedly waterproof shoes. But as I was descending, I felt my whole feet wet 🥲. The water couldn’t have entered the hole where the feet’s supposed to go since I was wearing a waterproof cargo pants that covered that part. Mind you, my two friends were wearing merrell and camel shoes, both of which didn’t claim to be waterproof. The one with merrell only had her toes wet while the one with camel descended with completely dry feet. I was honestly so disappointed having paid for a supposedly premium pair of shoes that wasn’t able to deliver on its first use.

I raised this with customer service but they haven’t been responsive ever since I emailed them answering their queries regarding my concern. 🙁

Have anyone experienced the same thing with terrex shoes? What can I do? Sayang naman 🥲
