Keeping product and engineering aligned when priorities keep shifting

We'll have a clear roadmap, then suddenly sales needs a feature for a big deal or leadership pivots strategy, and everything gets reshuffled. Engineering gets frustrated with the constant changes. I'm stuck trying to keep everyone on the same page.

What's worked for you? I've been experimenting with more frequent alignment sessions and visual roadmaps that show the "why" behind changes, but some ideas won't hurt.

I picked up sketching just to pass time, nothing serious. But over time, it quietly showed me something I didn’t expect- I’m way more patient than I thought. I used to rush everything, but sitting with a drawing for hours forced me to slow down and enjoy the process. It’s weird how a simple hobby can reveal something deeper about you. What about you?
