Asking for a friend, is the Research Accelerator LC worth it? He's thinking about joining but isn't seeing much of whether it's a good LC to join or not.

Just got accepted into the Global Engineering LC today, and from reading several other posts and forums from a few years ago, it seems that they didn't have the best experience. Is it worth joining?
