Am I the only one who still thinks Joy-Con controller mods aren't the optimal solution?

Been running my Joy-Cons in a controller-style mod for a while now. Great idea on paper, but two things keep bugging me, and I'm curious if it's just me.

1. The grip angle feels off. Fine for short sessions, but past an hour my hands never quite settle in and I keep shifting my grip mid-game. Close to right, but not right.

2. No charging. The whole point of a controller setup is long sessions, yet I'm still swapping Joy-Cons mid-game or pulling them out to charge. Kind of defeats the purpose.

Below are my real‑world test results for the product in the second image: the magnetic connection feels solid , it has played nice with a lot of case brands I've tried, and it charges while you play.
Does the grip angle bother anyone else, or have my hands gone soft?
Roast my take if I'm wrong.

I’m so over flying with a naked Switch. What case is everyone using?

Looking for something slim enough to slide into a personal l item / daypack, easy to grab mid-flight, and has room for + a few games. Any recommendations(or ones I should stay away from )?
