Yes I’m back I’m annoying I’m sorry butttttt…….

I saw tons of yall say in the rivalries post, just start a rivalry with the Bucs, and I love the idea so this is my shot at trying to get this spark going. Maybe it can be more of a friendly rival to start it off, or let’s get this shit going and light a fire!!!!!!! Here’s my case below.

I know Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints is the NFC South’s certified hate matchup……but I genuinely think Carolina Panthers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers has underrated rivalry potential now. The all-time series is basically dead even (Panthers lead 26-24), both teams have had stretches running the division, and somehow every game turns into:
- Random division chaos
- Somebody ruining the other team’s season
- Even Baker Mayfield and Bryce Young fighting for the shit mountain crown in Week 17 😭 (last season of course)

Also the hate is somewhat there:
- Panthers fans think Tampa became loud after Brady
-Bucs fans think Carolina talks too much for a team that’s rebuilding and irrelevant (to be fair yall where irrelevant back when yall started 0-26, and had been from the 60’s to maybe 2002? And still somewhat are)
- Andnow Mike Evans is gone so this rivalry lost its annual “Mike Evans scores again somehow” tradition 💀. Let’s turn this into maybe a Tet v Egbuka rivalry now?

I’m not saying it’s Falcons-Saints yet……but I am officially beginning the Panthers-Bucs propaganda campaign for 2026.

What would yall have to say our rivals are? I had this discussion with a friend of mine who’s a Bucs fan and this is what I had to say.

1 Falcons- screw the dirty birds, they’re annoying, and delusional as hell. The close proximity definitely helps and rise up is so stupid.

2 The aints- just a bunch of annoying thugs looking to talk trash every chance they get, ever since Drew Brees they ain’t had any relevance (to be fair same with us with Cam), and they’re just plain out right dirty. Cam v Brees was huge. No love for them not one ounce.

3 Bucs- listen I ain’t ever hate the Bucs one day in my life, I have respect for that team and franchise bc they’re good with a shitty owner. All live for the Bucs, just a fun game to talk little trash.

This is where it gets hard

4 Seahawks- Here’s the reason why I say this. The teams played constantly in the 2010s and had several playoff battles. Cam Newton vs Legion of Boom, good fanbase vs a small gritty one, coast to coast battle.

5 maybe the Cards- this was tough and I’ll have some HM’s with no description that where close for me. The 2015 NFC Championship was huge in which they dominated that game, but the teams were constantly compared during Cam’s reign.

Broncos/Pats- this I will say is just Super Bowl hate so they couldn’t make it. That’s the only one I’ll put a description for

Vikings

Bears

Cowgirls

Commanders

And Packers- this one could become a real rivalry, especially with the back to back in Lambeau Field. If the NFL would do this more often, I feel like we would gain more rivalries.
