Piccadilly Plum On The Go bag

Easily my favorite VB pattern and bag style!

Shout out to u/AAC-SLP-3703 for finding it on eBay an letting me know about it!

I love the mixture of maroon and brown in this specific pattern and I feel like it fits just about every season! Size wise, I've easily got my Samsung tablet inside without any issue. Usually I carry a smaller coach wallet, my chapstick, car keys, one small bottle of perfume, a small deodorant, some period products, and my glasses cleaner/case.

All in all the on-the-go bag happens to be my absolute favorite bag size for what I need it for, I'd classify it as a midsized bag, it has the capability to be a crossbody and shoulder bag.

My collection

My vera collection minus my mod floral bucket tote and my new hope duffell, been curating my collection since 2016, I only buy from my local thrift stores. I have almost every bag I could possibly want. I love collecting my Veras and using them from day to day.

Found a NWT Cargo bag

$20 at an estate sale, sorry to have robbed someone's grandma like that, but this has been on my list of wants for a while, with hat I think I can say that my entire vera collection has been completed. I've collected every pattern and style that I want. Will post the whole collection soon.

Anyone else notice the Vera overconsumption running rampant lately?

Something I've become very frustrated about is the severe overconsumption when it comes to Vera Bradley lately. I got into Vera a few years back specifically for the underconsumption portion of this community, using these older bags that had been popular years ago instead of buying a bunch of new ones. Everyone has their reasons for joining of course, but that's mine. What I've noticed a lot of lately though are people over consuming, I'm talking about people with 4-5 of the same bag, specifically to list them on Depop or Mercari or eBay. I see cargo sling selling for nearly $200 for u popular patterns I've seen bags listed for over $500! It's ridiculous in my opinion. Don't get me wrong I think a lot of the popular patterns are cute, but I'm not going to spend nearly half a month of rent on one bag! I think I have to step back from this community a bit until this trend dies down, I live all the new traffic coming to vera and people loving the patterns and bags, but there's no reason for a lot of the scalping that's been happening as of late.

Now if youre reading this thinking, "Hey! I don't do that!" then this post wasn't about you.

Anyways, I hope everyone in the community finds the bags they're looking for, I enjoy greatly sharing my thrift finds with this community and talking about the patterns and family stories associated with them!

Green Paisley Carry-all: my new favorite

2005-2007 Green Paisley carry-all bag! Found at the thrift for $2.99! Literally a perfect everyday bag for me! It comfortably fits my hydro flask (I have the skinny one) and all my daily carry-ables.

I haven't seen this specific pattern posted very often in this sub, so I thought I'd share!

I'd love to see people's not super popular favorites because green Paisley is def one of mine

Bought a 2nd hand bag off depop, it was broken 🫩

I think the listing intentionally hid the damage on the strap. Very sad because I really wanted the older quilted XL bags. I did open a request with depop to try to send the bag back for a refund, hoping it goes well.
