PASSED AT/AT/AT

I passed my PMP test today, this has been a goal of mine for the past couple of years. I am so thankful for this reddit page and all of the advice/resources shared here. A few insights I have to offer (all from my perspective of course):

- Don’t bother buying or reading the PMBOK. Maybe a crazy take but I don’t feel like it helped me at all other than reading through the glossary a couple of times.

- SH was by far the most important for me and I probably would’ve been fine if I used this as my ONLY resource. I did all questions of the day, practice questions, mini exams, and full mocks. People were right when they said don’t use mock 4 and 5, I did and they were so confusing and made me doubt myself. They are exponentially harder than the actual exam. My mock scores were: 1: 70% 2: 77% 3: 71% 4: 70% 5: 62%. I reviewed every single question I got wrong and many that I got right in mocks 1 - 3. I reviewed correct questions as well because I wanted to ensure I fully understood.

- ARs Mindset video is probably the best YT resource out there. I did spend countless hours watching hung both DM and AR.

- I actually moved my test up three weeks to maintain motivation. I think I over-prepared if anything. For me, the test was truly easier than study hall and I had so much material studied and memorized that never came up on the test.

- I completed my 35 hour course in January and then mid-February - now studied consistently. 3 months is PLENTY of time.

- I also bought 3rd rock notes which were helpful. I mostly used the shorter cheat sheet.

- Made and studied my own notes for my weakest areas in SH. This made a big difference in understanding those topics.

I am so thankful to have this test behind me. I feel like I expected something much worse than it was. For all of you studying and cramming to get it done before the exam changes, it’s definitely possible.
