Subwoofers and pets?

Hey everyone, I'm interested to hear if you've had animal companions impacted by your love of bass. Do your pets hate it or are they fairly ambivalent.

My story: I live solo on the bottom floor of an old apartment building with concrete surfaces. I only share a surface with one resident above me and when they crank their music (can hear from the open window outside) I can't hear them from inside. We get along fine and I'm fairly comfortable in terms of annoying them if I add a sub. I mostly want to use it for immersive couch gaming and occasionally some pump up electronic music on Friday evening or weekend daytime. Even then, it's more about depth than cranking for volume.

My lounge room is a compact 4.7 X 3.5m (15.5 X 11.5ft) and I have a new 3.0 setup with Elac debut 3.0 db63 and c63. Ultimately I'd like to add the sub with a couple of rear speakers once I figure out the cable run.

I see the svs 1000 pro is very highly recommended here on this sub but it's probably overkill for my space.

Living solo, I'd love to get a pet at some point in the future. A lazy retired greyhound or a cat would suit as I mostly work from home. A friend is going overseas and I could also put my hand up to take care of her fish tank for a year (I have had fish before and know how to take care of them).

Breaking in a new mask

Good morning sleepers

After some trials and experimentation I landed on the F40 being the mask for me. It was actually the original mask I bought with the machine and after dialing in various settings and trying other masks I ended up being most comfortable with this one.

A couple of weeks ago I started sleeping throughout the full night and everything was great. I have full concentration back and my resting heart rate while sleeping is steadily going down.

Knowing that this setup works for me, I bought a backup mask. Two nights ago I gave it a shot and it was terrible. The new mask is exactly the same size but I feel pressure on my nose and I woke up at 4am feeling terrible and switched back. Yesterday I felt like a zombie again and had a headache that built up throughout the day. I used to get less severe versions of these on wakeup pre CPAP which is one of the reasons I went to get diagnosed.

Last night I switched back to the old mask but kept the new strap. I feel much better this morning but noted my app recorded leakages and my heart rate is back up. The strap is set with a similar tightness to the old one.

Is it normal for you to have to 'break in' a new mask like a new pair of shoes? How often do you cycle through different masks?
