Drake has been ass longer than he's been good

In anticipation of the three Drake albums dropping, I was watching a video of a soundcheck he did for a live performance of "Too Good" with Rihanna, and listening to how earnest, how fun yet serious peak Drake was, just so saccharine and predictable but there was this sense of energy and passion that is so lacking. It's all gooned out victimizations for almost a decade now. Call it slop, white boy cringe whatever, but growing up in the multicultural suburbs of the GTA, Drake is a borderline institution here for anyone under the age of 30. It's sad to see what was - maybe a meaningful representation of our collective growing up as a whole. The joy and magic of life is gone, all that's left is a cynical reflection on the past and a refusal to grow up.

What do you guys think about "sectarianism"?

Is it happening? Or is it an overblown right wing fantasy? Here in Canada, recently a candidate beat the Ontario Liberal Party MPP by organizing an ethnic bloc of Bengalis, alongside Bengali-language election material, voting seemingly entirely based on ethnic lines. Likewise, with the UK election recently. I'm a socialist etc etc, but I can't help but be distraught by this. At the same time, I can't help but thinking it's just a right wing smear campaign, like some "Haitians eating cats" thing. Where do you stand? If it is a real phenomenon, I can't imagine it's beneficial for left wing interests, but how do you even avoid something like this happening?
