CEC PR refused due to NOC duties mismatch — should I request reconsideration, reapply, or speak to lawyer?
Hi everyone,
My Express Entry / Canadian Experience Class PR application was refused. The refusal letter says the officer was not satisfied that my Canadian work experience met the skilled work experience requirement because the duties in my employment letter were not consistent with the lead statement and main duties of the NOC I declared.
The letter says the employer was not included in the assessment because the NOC did not match, and because of that I no longer met the CEC requirements under section 11.2.
I’m trying to understand the best next step:
Should I request reconsideration if I believe the officer misunderstood the duties?
Is this the kind of refusal where a lawyer is worth speaking to immediately, especially because of judicial review deadlines? Any success story?
Has anyone had a CEC refusal for NOC mismatch and successfully fixed it? What did you do differently the second time?
