Temp lock stuck

Temp lock stuck

What model and year is this? I recently moved into a residential condo building, built in 2018 or 2019. I just moved in there is a lock on my AC, only the heat part I can turn down but I need AC to turn down to atleast 18, 22 is too hot and is stuck on a temp limit lock. I spoke to landlord and building manager. Building manager said it had to do with previous tenants. Landlord said he’d get a new thermostat of a different brand. If I get a new one will this take off the lock of the new one or is that have to be re wired for it to not have a lock. The super said someone has to re wire it, so I’m confused on what the real answer is. Please someone help, I’ve taken the batteries out, reset it with the breaker and still cannot get the lock off. What am I doing wrong. The system is an hvac and has a vent underneath it. But then I googled and said the building has a code but I asked the building and they said there’s no code so I’m confused on why someone locked it.

I’m not highly allergic to nuts, nor have I been diagnosed with it. But sometimes when I eat certain nuts I get either a rash similar to eczema, and sometimes hives. I ate specifically lindor pralines and cream chocolate box and got a rash on my face from it. Second time was clif bars and got a rash on my chest similar to eczema. I’ve eaten pb so many times but I find it only happens with certain kinds of nuts?? Idk and I’ve never felt my throat close just an itchy rash. I haven’t been to a doctor bc mines useless but I’ve never gotten an allergy test and idk how to go about that. If you live in Ontario you know how useless the healthcare system is. I usually take a Benadryl and go on about my day.
