Z8 with Nikkor Z 24-120 f4 S

The Nikkor Z 24-120 f4 lens is so sharp, the best walk-around lens ever and on the Z8, insane. The glow of the Tahoe sunset can be seen on the sailors. And the dude standing near CityLights Bookstore on the edge of Chinatown and North Beach was shot from across the street, and the soles of his old shoes are clear. Both images at 120mm, f13 on sailboat, f9 on dude

Long Zoom for Action Photography

I have the Z8 (and Z6iii) and just got the amazing Nikkor Z 70-200 f2.8 II S Zoom. I realize that I need something longer to cover the 200-500 or 200-600 range. I like to shoot wind surfer-kite boarders and car races especially. While I prefer native Nikkor lenses, I would consider Tamron or other 3rd party lenses. Is the Nikkor Z 100-400 VR S Zoom fast focusing enough? Sharp enough? Resolution good on Z*? Other suggestions?
