Romeo and Juliet

Went to see my first west end show. Wasn’t planning to but I walked past the theatre and spontaneously decided to buy a ticket.

Spoilers?

I’m curious what other people think about this show. I enjoyed it and thought Sadie Sink was brilliant especially when it got more emotional towards the end. I really enjoyed the actor who played Mercutio too! The Tybalt vs Mercutio scene was so fun to watch.

However, I think the lighting in the show was unnecessary. I’m not even someone who is sensitive to light but even I had to brace myself every time the theatre went dark and the intense flashes would happen. Also, the “what if” scenarios did get a bit tedious but I did enjoy the pay off at the end.
