Permaculture book

I’m new to this and to gardening in general. But I want to start building a garden starting this summer. I want a food forest that has its own ecosystem. Do any of yall suggest a book that can tell me everything I need to know and show me how to do it?

I prefer an easier read because I have a hard time comprehending things. But if the book has better information and more accurate then I would prefer that over an easy read.

Also if it has tips on what soils to use or what not to do for each plant that would be great. Even if it’s another book. When I looked up how to make the perfect raised bed for a garden it said to layer wood and then cardboard at the bottom for easy drainage. But then I discovered our tomatoes are dying because those bottom layers are taking up all the nitrogen and the soil we used is poor quality (Kelloggs). Now we know.

I am gonna try to use coco coir and perlite and other stuff to make the best soil for them.

Also we live in zone 9a. And if you do your garden like a food forest will it allow you to grow vegetables and fruits you couldn’t before?

Finding sellers that sell to single people

I have been trying to find sellers on there that will sell to individuals not just businesses. Most of the time either they never respond to me or say they can only do large orders. And these are the same sellers that say the minimum quantity is 1-2.

One seller finally was kind and told me key words to search to find stores that will sell to people. But it didn’t work. I couldn’t find that option in the filter settings and when I typed the words she suggested it didn’t work either.

Does anyone have any info on how to search up ones that will sell to families? I’m getting worried about how things are turning out in America and want to stock up on things we need at prices I can afford.

If anyone has bought from suppliers that sell these following items to individuals please tell me the name
Paper towels, cat food (good quality or at least healthy not poorly made stuff that would make them sick), toilet paper, and anything else you suggest that we should get that’s on there and for affordable prices.

Where to buy fruit trees?

I want to purchase tropical fruit trees like lychee and durian etc but it’s so hard to find them for sale online and when I do they are only ever 4 feet max INCLUDING a foot for the pot.

I am looking for ones ready to fruit next year or this year. Also ones that will ship to Texas. I live in the Houston area so perfect conditions for tropical fruits. And preferably want to buy from Jamaica or china or Brazil where they are better quality and hopefully WAY cheaper.

Has anyone had any success buying some that are very good prices from these countries? I Know they primarily message through WhatsApp.
