We were robbed of an official studio version of the Sweet Mirage Blue Hour arrangement

I know Sweet Mirage was almost three years after Blue Hour originally came out, but I genuinely wish Big Hit had released a studio version of the arrangement they used for the tour.

I actually prefer this arrangement to the original. They added more prominent piano and strings, and the strings during the dance break especially make it sound so much more bittersweet and emotional.

I don't even want a live album necessarily. I just wish they had taken that exact arrangement into the studio and recorded it properly. The arrangement already existed, so I don't understand why it was never released as an official version.

Does anyone else remember the Sweet Mirage version? Did you prefer it to the original too?

I would've loved a digital release like Blue Hour (Sweet Mirage Version) or even an expanded minisode1 : Blue Hour with different arrangements and remixes, the same way The Star Chapter: Sanctuary had an expanded version.

Does anyone else prefer the Sweet Mirage arrangement to the original? Because I love this version so much 😭

What if TXT had a song called Golden Hour? I think it would’ve fit perfectly with The Dream Chapter

I was thinking about Blue Hour and how perfectly the concept of a golden hour would’ve fit their earlier music, and now I’m kind of sad they never released a song with that title.

For context, golden hour and blue hour are both periods of light around sunrise/sunset. Golden hour has that warm, glowing, beautiful feeling, while blue hour happens as the light fades and everything becomes darker and more blue.

And I feel like Golden Hour could have fit The Dream Chapter: Star so well.

The Star album has such a youthful, dreamy feeling with songs like Crown, Our Summer, Cat & Dog, Nap of a Star, and I could imagine Golden Hour being about being young, being with people you love, feeling like everything is perfect for a moment, and wanting that moment to last forever.

Golden Hour could be a song about wishing the moment could last forever because everything is perfect, while Blue Hour is about wanting to hold onto the moment that's ending because they know it won't last forever.

So rather than replacing Blue Hour, I think Golden Hour could’ve worked really well alongside it. The transition from golden hour to blue hour is literally a transition from warm light into twilight, which also works really well with TXT’s themes of youth, growing up, fleeting happiness, and the transition between reality and fantasy.

I actually think Golden Hour could've worked on the Magic album too. Especially because Magic is about the boys going on magical adventures together and experiencing all the confusion and changes that come with growing up. Golden Hour could have been about that feeling of temporarily escaping reality and being completely happy with your friends.

TXT have also done something kind of similar with New Rules on the Magic album and No Rules on the Freeze album. The titles and ideas clearly have a connection, so it makes me wonder what they could've done with Golden Hour and Blue Hour as another kind of song pairing.

Obviously there's no reason to think Big Hit ever planned this lol, it's just something I wish they'd done because I think the two titles would've worked so well together.

What do you think?

Am I the only one who hears Robert Miles' Children in Beautiful Strangers? I made a short mashup to compare them.

I remember thinking Beautiful Strangers sounded similar to Robert Miles' Children (The piano part) when I first listened to Beautiful Strangers when it came out last year. So I made a short mashup to see if they work together. I'm curious whether anyone else hears the similarity.
