Gemini Limits Are Getting Too Restrictive

Google’s new Gemini limits and weekly caps make the free experience feel hard to use. If enough users give clear feedback, cancel subscriptions, and speak up respectfully, Google may actually listen.

For now, it may be worth checking out better alternatives instead of sticking with a product that keeps getting more limited. Some free options people mention are Perplexity, Claude’s free tier, Microsoft Copilot, and other open-source AI tools.

Google Seriously Ruined Gemini With These New Limits

These new Gemini limits are honestly terrible. The free tier is barely usable now, and even paid users are getting restricted way too fast. Getting forced onto weaker models after hitting limits completely kills the experience.

If Google actually wants feedback, then the community needs to make some noise instead of just complaining for a day and moving on.

Some things people can genuinely do:

Cancel Gemini subscriptions if it’s not worth paying for anymore

Spam feedback reports directly in Gemini every time limits ruin something

Post screenshots/videos of the limits on Reddit, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.

Leave honest Play Store/App Store reviews mentioning the new restrictions

Stop recommending Gemini to friends until things improve

Use competitors more openly so Google sees users are leaving

Keep discussions trending instead of letting the topic die in 2 days

Nobody expects unlimited AI usage, but these limits feel way too aggressive for both free and paid users.

Boycott Gemini For New Ridiculous Limits

Sigh… so here we are again with another disappointing Gemini update.

Google really copied the wrong things from Claude. I’ve been subscribed to Gemini Pro for quite a while now, but I finally cancelled my subscription because of these ridiculous daily and weekly limits.

Gemini Legacy wasn’t perfect, but at least it felt usable and almost unlimited. The newer models are definitely more advanced, but honestly, they’re still not on the same level as Claude by Anthropic.

The difference is that Claude is expensive because the quality actually justifies it. With Gemini, it feels like we’re getting stricter limits without enough improvement to make those limits worth it.

Google had something great with Gemini Legacy, and instead of improving the user experience, they made it more restrictive.

At this point, I genuinely think users should speak up about this across platforms like Twitter/X, Threads, Reddit, and other communities. Companies only listen when enough people push back.
