I’m Tomi Mikula, founder of Delivrd. I’m a former finance manager at a car dealership, now my team negotiates over 400 car deals each month. AMA!

Hi Reddit, I’m Tomi.

I started my career as a finance manager at a car dealership. I fell in love with the business unexpectedly, but I began to feel like I was working against people, not for them. I wanted to find a way to solve people’s problems and make car buying a positive experience.

So I left to build Delivrd, a nationwide car buying concierge service that puts a professional negotiator on the buyer's side of the deal. Today my team helps more than 400 buyers a month, and most of them never set foot in a dealership until the car is ready. I also highlight real calls with dealerships on my social media, to show buyers the exact process.

My goal: I want every car buyer to walk into a deal knowing as much as the person across the desk. By the end of this thread, you should be able to secure the dream in your driveway all on your own.

Ask me about:

  • How dealership pricing works
  • The art of negotiating with a dealership
  • Buying a car entirely online
  • Behind the scenes of the finance office: markups, warranties, add-ons, and what’s worth paying for
  • Finding the car that meets your needs and your budget
  • Which models are seeing the best deals in today’s market
  • Bad dealership tactics
  • How Delivrd works

I'll be answering questions starting at 3:00 pm ET on Wednesday, October 7. Let's get into it!

Hiring: Executive Assistant | $72k + 401k | Fully Remote (US)

Location: Remote, US-based. Charlotte NC is a bonus, not required.
Type: Full-time, W2
Salary: $72k base + 401k
PTO: 10 days after 90 days, plus all major holidays paid

I run a remote car buying concierge service. 23 people. Production is handled and the floor runs without me. I'm not hiring an operator to keep the lights on. I'm hiring leverage on myself.

Straight version of the job: I move fast and change direction often. There's no manual. If ambiguity stresses you out, you'll be miserable working with me. If ambiguity is where you do your best work, keep reading.

What you'd own

  • My calendar and commitments. Nothing slips.
  • My inbox and follow-ups. You're the point person, internal and client-facing.
  • My writing. You learn my voice and draft in it without me checking every word. This is the core skill of the role.

What you need

  • Strong writing. Non-negotiable.
  • Real independence.
  • Obsessive attention to detail.
  • Comfortable on tools (G Suite, Slack, Airtable, Loom) and open to AI tools.
  • Comfortable on phone and text with clients and vendors.
  • Discretion. You'll be close to everything.

The honest part about growth
This starts as an EA role and is built to grow into more as we expand. I'd rather say that plainly than dress it up. If you want a role that stays exactly the same size for five years, this isn't it. If you want to start by running my day and build something bigger, it is.

How to apply
Skip the resume. I don't screen on resumes.

Tell me about one time you took something messy, undefined, no instructions, and made it happen. What it was, what you did, how it landed.

A short Loom is part of it. The job is communication, so show me you can communicate.
