It’s honestly a damn shame this turned into a lose-lose for the US. I really liked this year’s team. If the US pulls off the win, it’s tainted because of the Balogun situation. If the US loses, well shit, then we just suck at this game like everyone already says.
Either way, most of you are still going to hate us and I’ve long accepted that. I’m still going to root for my country. I had nothing to do with the decision, I can’t control it, and at the end of the day I just want to watch the match.
For me, it’s still a good way to turn off the everyday bullshit for a bit and enjoy the sport.
