What's the deal with the lack of weapons in BO7 compared to MW?

I only started playing COD in the BO6 era but looking back I love playing with the MW guns and the amount of attachments, bullet variations and scopes is so much better. The variety of attachments for the Victus XMR for example is crazy.

There's not one good sniper scope for the 3 snipers they made for BO7. They all suck and have large glints.

It feels to me like just a lack of care and effort to have downgraded the weapons so much.

Don't get me wrong I really like the Strider 300 but it would be 10x better with the collection of MW attachments.

Anyone know is it just like this for Black ops games or is this just a permanent downgrade?
