Doubt regarding VFTF facility
Hi everyone,
I’m from India heading to Japan for a business trip, and I have layovers in Changi (Singapore) on both legs of my journey. I want to take advantage of the Free Singapore Tour, but since I’m relying on the 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility (VFTF) using my Japan visa, I know I can only use it once for the entire round trip.
Here is my itinerary:
Onward (India -> SIN -> Tokyo): 8-hour layover
Return (Tokyo -> SIN -> India): 11-hour layover
I have two main questions:
Which leg should I use for the free tour? I’m leaning towards doing it on the 11-hour return layover since that is a long time to just sit in the transit area. However, I’ve read that using VFTF on the return leg with a used single-entry Japan visa can sometimes cause extra questions at immigration. Has any Indian citizen done this recently?
SG Arrival Card (SGAC): Do I only need to submit the SG Arrival Card for the specific layover where I actually clear immigration for the tour? Or do I have to fill it out for both layovers, even if I strictly stay inside the transit zone for one of them?
