Which books/sources can be considered as the central tenet of Hinduism for vast majority of Hindus(not talking about those who reinterpret the stories/superstitions in a way they barely match the original intent), or there is no such thing
I am an exmuslim, I want to better understand Hinduism, and learn to critic it, but tackling Hinduism the way we do Islam, is that a hopeless case? If the belief is extremely slippery or flexible, the best approach doesn’t seem criticizing the faith, but making them question if they can think critically/objectively and apply that ability on whatever belief they hold, not ignoring it's harm or absurdness because it is traditionally believed/practiced by the family.
