18 years old, invested €4,000 in ETFs with no job. 2 weeks in — here’s what I’ve learned so far.

Last month I had €4,000 sitting
in a postal bond earning basically
nothing. My grandfather saved
that money for me over his lifetime.

I decided to invest it instead.

Here's exactly what I did:

Broker: Scalable Capital
→ German regulated (BaFin)
→ Automatic tax reporting
→ No currency conversion fees

Portfolio:
→ 50% VWCE (global, 3,700+ companies)
→ 33% CNDX (Nasdaq 100, tech)
→ 15% WSML (small caps)
→ 5% EIMI (emerging markets)

Results after 2 weeks:
→ +€66 best week
→ -€60 worst week
→ Currently up overall

What I learned:
→ Fluctuations are completely normal
→ Reading Bloomberg every morning
helps understand WHY markets move
→ The 50/50 rule changed how
I think about money
→ Starting early matters more
than starting with a lot
