A lighthearted take airing on NBC, Halloween night 1980. I have fond memories of this & still watch it at least once/yr 46yrs later.

Recently picked these up for $500 from an original owner. Love them. Currently driven by a dual mono design Pioneer SA-8500 II. Definitely want to remove the black & go to stained/varnished natural wood finish. Possibly (probably) cream cloth on the covers.

Regarding removing the black finish, I’ve read on the Klipsch forums that lacquer thinner & steel wool prior to any sanding is the way to go.

Anyone here have any tips for not going through the veneer?
