Managed to get my hands on my first vintage pen - a Pelikan 140 <OB>

It is also the first time I am trying a non-standard nib - I am loving it. The writing in the photo does not do it justice - in the picture, I wrote on Midori, but I did do some more writing on my Leuchtturm where the experience was far better. It made my writing look so fancy!

The nib on the pen is a bit damaged - slightly bent (I think), the tines misaligned and a bit too spread apart maybe? I also think that the bend causes the nib to be a bit detached from the feed. It was quite difficult to get it to start writing - ink would flow up to the breather hole, but would not go further between the tines towards the tip. Once I pushed them just a bit towards one another, it started flowing and it does write quite well all things considered. If I leave it nib up too long, the ink from the tip of the nib might deplete again.

I will send this to a nibmeister for adjustments & fixes, but I am impressed at how well it writes once the ink does start flowing. There are occasional skips, but I am not sure which are caused by the nib and which are me not being used to this nib grind. No significant damage to the pen body, though the cap has a small crack right above the golden ring. The piston seems to work well.
Anything in particular I should pay attention to with a pen this old?

Overall happy with it - I find it very exciting to own a pen produced over 50 years ago. And this nib choice really opened up a whole new area for me: I'm gonna give myself a few days before I start looking for other non standard nibs :D
