Doubt fits weirdly well at the end of the story
I was listening to Doubt and connected a neat amount of dots that makes it fit really well at the end (possibly the end of the battle) of the story.
Scared of my own image, scared of my own immaturity
Scared of my own ceilin', scared I'll die of uncertainty
Fear might be the death of me, fear leads to anxiety
I think Clancy might be doubting if he truly even understands what's going on in the moment. Scared of his immaturity, is he sure what he's doing is right? Scared of his own ceiling, I think it refers to him hanging so much more power over anyone else, the power to seize, to control, to do the |-/ move. I think this part fits well as thoughts he might've had during the Contract.

Ooh this is interesting. I think it's him talking to the Torchbearer in his head, while he's not there. Clancy realising he's starting a new cycle and begging tb to please look for him and to not abandon him. He doubted tb at the end, thinking he needs to resort to the solution of becoming the nova bishop himself, he doubted tb but he is no good without him, he's a cruel ruler in making.
It could also be the events after the trench, when Clancy is locked up in dema. He might be praying the banditos come to save him.

This fits so well as part of the ending. He just got stabbed, he falls to the ground, he's dying, his body going cold, the temperature dropping. He realises he can't win this, the cycle is too strong, he can't see it ever stopping. So he does what he can in the absence and doubt of the tb, he shakes hands with the dark part of his mind. He becomes the nova.

This is my favourite part. I think it's the nova, with what little Clancy is left in him hoping to himself that another finds the way and starts the cycle over. It's him in a state where he's both Clancy and a bishop, thinking both sides at the same time. Repeating simple phrases? Shalo folina. Tb, his guide taught him that. The marking on his skin, the yellow and red tape he wears, he wants them to mean something again but he can't, he's transitioning into the bishop, coming to terms with the fact he's lost, he's not Clancy anymore BUT still hoping that tb doesn't leave him (or in this case the next Clancy). Hope you haven't left without me, please. He's hoping tb finds him again.
There's a lot of holes in this obviously, I don't mean any of this seriously, it's just a fun interpretation I came up with. Hell, this is in Blurryface, events WAAAY before anything even happens lmao, that's the biggest hole here. Regardless it's fun :)
