Please, please, please pull off the upset this weekend. I'll never bandwagon, be one of those 'WA all the way' guys, or probably cheer for you again...but you have to do this.
If Collingwood specifically selected Freo for the milestone as it 'looked like an easy win' I'd be pissed off - and I'd hope we stuck it to them. This whole noise surrounding this milestone has been decadent, tacky and ridiculous too. The money outside the salary cap, the nonsense with the gold number - it all reaks of a 'Big Vic Club Privilege', or maybe more specifically Collingwood, that no other club would be allowed to get away with.
I don't hate Pendles, was a good player and seems fine as a person - but just fucking ruin that party to spite Collingwood/VFL...pretty please.
