Hello, so I've been searching the internet for like a day and can't seem to find a conclusion to this so I decided to make my own thread.
I have the new tandem ASUS XG27AQWMG and updated it to the newest firmware (MCM104). I calibrated it in Windows to 1530 Peak and 370 full frame white using the Gaming HDR preset on 100 brightness.
Now come the questions. Is this the best/most accurate way to do it? I have gotten very conflicting results when I looked up the way to set up this monitor. Monitors Unboxed for example used the Console HDR mode for this model but when I use the Console HDR mode, the windows HDR calibration tool clips the pattern ~800 nits whereas the Gaming/Cinema HDR modes go up to the actual peak brightness of the monitor of ~1530. But other review sites say to use Gaming HDR instead compared to Monitors Unboxed.
I am also getting conflicting results about which mode has the aggressive Dynamic Tone Mapping. Some say it's the Console HDR some say it's the Gaming one. Also some say to use 90 Brightness in Gaming HDR.
Also related to the Windows HDR Calibration tool, I've seen some say to put the actual numbers (like I did with 1530/370), others say to put it on 1530/1530 and let the internal ABL handle the dimming and others to just follow the pattern clip (which in my case would be 1530/1340).
I am getting so many conflicting search results that I can't tell which one is accurate anymore and what to believe.
