Realtors Altering Photos w/ AI

Hey REP friends! Out of curiosity - how would you feel if a realtor put your photos through an AI editor to alter your finished photos? No contract stating it can’t be done, but it’s someone you’ve worked with for a long time, and you didn’t know until you saw the listing. It has recently happened to me twice, both galleries I was quite happy with. They are now whitewashed, blurry, and distorted on floors, ceilings and some furniture. It’s not disclosed in the listing that photos have been altered with AI. Thanks in advance!

Are you hiring editors?

Hey REP friends. Are you hiring editors or editing on your own? Whether it’s an editor overseas, or something like Fotello, I want to know! Is it worth the cost?
I am considering biting the bullet and outsourcing my photos for editing. I have a toddler who I want to enjoy the summer with. I know it can be used as a write off, but whether it helps or hurts depends on how much you make, from what I’ve gathered. I really don’t make a ton because I do this part-time.

Tax Write-Off Question

To the part time photographers who done owe on taxes, and still get a refund (mine is mainly from claiming a child, I think). Do you write off your business expenses (such as paying an editor), and what does it do for you?

I am considering having my photos edited. It’ll cost me $30/shoot to have my photos edited, which is quite cheap. But it will add up. I’m wondering, is this going to come straight from my pocket, or could it help increase my refund?

Tax Question

Can someone explain this to me like I am five? If I’m a part-time photographer who is not making enough to owe on taxes, and still getting a refund (especially from claiming a child) Will writing off editing expenses give me a higher refund? I am trying to justify spending $30 per shoot for editing fees. I know that that’s not a lot. But you know that that’s $3000 for 100 shoots. Thank you in advance!
