I applied for San Diego Sheriff Deputy Cadet. I recently passed the post pellet B with a score of 86. I have my pre screening orientation next week and I have some questions regarding my troubled past. When I was 19, I was convicted of misdemeanor DV. Since then, I have a proven track record of rehabilitation and have gotten my life on track. This September, my 10 year firearm ban will be lifted. Is this a lifetime ban or joining the department?
