DEVS PLS HELP HIGH CPU SPIKES POST UPDATE
Been noticing random CPU temp spikes while gaming where temps suddenly jump from around 60°C to 70°C every now and then for no apparent reason. You can literally feel the gameplay become inconsistent when it happens. At first I thought it was just my setup, but I’ve now noticed the exact same behavior on Linux as well as on a completely different PC setup, so this definitely doesn’t seem isolated.
Cooling is fine, airflow is good, system is stable, and there are no unusual background tasks causing it. Temps instantly settle back down after the spike. This started happening after the new anti-cheat update and it genuinely feels like the anti-cheat is triggering abnormal CPU behavior or scheduling in the background.
What’s concerning is that these spikes absolutely affect gameplay responsiveness, frametimes, and overall smoothness, especially in competitive games. Constant unnecessary boosting and sudden temperature jumps also can’t be good for hardware longevity.
If this is related to the new anti-cheat, please investigate and address it ASAP. Would also like to know if others on both Windows and Linux are experiencing the same random CPU spikes and performance inconsistencies since the update.
