I was hoping just to see if there were any Program Managers in this subreddit that can talk a little bit about how they like their job and how they got there. What career paths got them to the interview process and receiving an offer, etc.
It seems like there isn’t much information in the defense subreddits on PM’s.

I have been contacted by a recruiter regarding some questions about my excepted salary range for the position, however, in the job that I am applying for there are two “Pay Rate” sections. One literally right below the other. The only difference in the language of the sections is that one says “metropolitan areas”. And the metropolitan area section is about 15k more than the other.
I guess my question is how do I know if LM considers my area “metropolitan”? I am looking at google and I am getting answers that my city is and isn’t. So I just wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this so I don’t under or over ask.
