mi sto avvicinando al mondo degli etf e sto cercando di capirne meglio le dinamiche. In particolare sono interessato al mondo SRI, e analizzando l'andamento dell'iShares MSCI World SRI UCITS ETF (SUSW/2B7K, IE00BYX2JD69) ho notato che fino al gennaio 2024 aveva rendimenti in pari o anche leggermente migliori di fondi molto più grandi e diffusi come VWCE e SWDA. Dopo di che ha cominciato a fare peggio non solo rispetto a VWCE e SWDA, ma anche ad altri etf ESG.

Da neofita sto cercando di capire che cosa possa aver portato a questo cambiamento.
A parte la differenza nel numero e nella natura delle aziende partecipate nel fondo, cosa può essere successo a gennaio 2024? Ci si può aspettare che in futuro possa tornare a sovraperformare?

Nell'ultimo anno è sotto di ~5% rispetto, ad esempio, a SAWD (che è un ESG screened) quindi sto cercando di capire se il compromesso etico valga la performance minore.

Hey everyone. I recently applied for a SWE II position at Google Zurich and had the introductory phone call with the recruiter. She mentioned that the specific role I applied for is unlikely to stay open for long. The issue is that I’m not ready for technical interviews yet (I’d realistically need at least a couple of months to prepare DSA quizzes). On top of that, I’m set on starting a PhD after the summer, so I wouldn’t be able to move forward with the role anyway.

Given that I might want to apply again in ~3 years, or even before that for PhD internships, what would be the best move here?

• Should I go ahead and book the interviews anyway? There's a serious risk i'll tank it.
• Should I explain my situation to the recruiter?
• Or is it better to just silently let it go and reapply in the future?

They’ve been sending me emails saying the interview booking link will expire soon, so it feels a bit time-sensitive.
