Frozen Foods

My staple feeder for my toad is typically dew worms, but unfortunately there's been this bizarre sudden shortage in basically all feeders in my town. Crickets are low in stock and appear weak and sickly, horn worms are out of stock, the worms I normally get are arriving to the stores dead in their cups, etc. I don't currently drive, do not live in an area with public transit, and the nearest place that potentially has feeders is half an hour by car. Bit of pickle I'm in.

I have some frozen mysis shrimp I had gotten for my bettas. As far as I can tell they should be safe to feed my toad (of course provided I thaw them), but I'd like to get others opinions on this is possible.

They're just little cubes of frozen mysis shrimp, and my toad is anaxyrus americanus americanus

I've read the study about putting a hamster wheel outdoors and how a bunch of animals will use it given the chance including frogs/toads. I've also seen people use wheels with their various lizards. Seeing as I have several wheels of various sizes from past pet hamsters I've decided to give it a shot.

Has anyone else done this? I know there's a way to figure out the right size wheel for other animals but I'm unsure how to size it with a toad. I'm thinking my 7 inch one looks about right but it's a bit hard to tell. The ones I have are traditional wheels also, I'm wondering if the saucer-style one would be a better choice.

I would love suggestions if anyone has some.
