Hydra Miniatures' Retro Raygun
These are the bulk of my Galacteers from Hydra Miniatures. I haven't picked up a brush in almost a decade when I started this project. I really enjoyed planning the color coordination of these teams. I used Vallejo paints with their express paints, but I don't think I use the express paints correctly... I didn't really enjoy using them and ended up painting three or four coats. I am not good at faces, but I hope the bases are nice. I made the yellow grass out of twine and the red alien coral out of sponge.
How do I get clean, flat, smooth, matte finish on a model? I thin my paints and get two to three coats on but it doesn't have that clean, even finish. I used a zenithal highlight before painting but, I am not sure it was worth the effort.
I am new to sharing stuff online, so don't hurt me. My only camera is on my phone and its a potato... Please let me know if I didn't follow any rules.
