My neighbor had this tree planted along the boulevard near their home a couple years ago (I honestly don’t remember exactly how long). I was waking by it and noticed that the support straps are starting to girdle(?) the tree. What should I tell my neighbor to do to remedy this? Just cut the straps at the tree and leave what’s left, or completely remove them from the trunk? Will the tree recover?
