My view

It bothers when people say that Brahmins practiced untouchability and caste on others and they are paying for it by reservations.

But isn't it stupid that I have to pay the price for something my ancestors did? You guys say that for the atrocities commited someone should pay the price but why should it be me who did nothing? It's like punishing a killer's son for what his father did.

My experience with the reservation system is very very bad. I myself got 98.4%ile in JEE MAINS and 21xxx rank in JEE ADVANCED but I got 0 government colleges. My friend who is an SC got 51%ile in JEE MAINS and has got a seat in NIT CSE. I'm not saying he doesn't deserve it but you're saying I don't? The only way I can get a seat is by getting AIR<1000. And for another exam(IAT) I wrote my cutoff was 151 in Round 4 but an ST candidate's cutoff is 42 out of 240. Some people do deserve the reservation but my friend who got 51%ile surely didn't. He has enough money to pay for a coaching but he gets the reward which I should've got. See everyone says hardwork never fails and it did fail me.

The only alternative I see making reservations not based on caste but based on the background of candidate. Sure, it will take time to analyze but it sure as hell is better justice for me.

Thanks

EDIT: I posted this here because I saw 1 person on a different talking Abt this point
